Saint Wins 41st Annual Indian Classic
What a great night for Saint Wrestling as the Tribe wrestled a comeback win in the consolation and championship finals. West Iredell lead the field of eleven teams all day long. Saint Wrestlers battle to keep within striking distance of the leader and Glenn HS nipping away at our second place standings.
Our wrestlers in the consolations and consolation finals scrapped to pull the Tribe out of a 10 point deficit. They gave us our first lead of the day with 10.5 points lead going into the Championship finals. Dakota Griffith @ 120 placed 3rd, David Velazquez @ 138 placed 4th, Cody Yelton @ 182 placed 4th, and Corey Cramer @ 220 placed 3rd.

West Iredell won the 120 division with a pin. Tribe's lead now 10.5

West Iredell lost against Glenn @ 145. West Iredell still leading by 1.5
Junior Zach Fincannon @ 152 claimed his championship with a 3rd period pin to push give the lead back to the Tribe. Tribe's lead 4.5.
At this point of the competition, West Iredell was down to their last remaining wrestler. A pin would put them back in the lead by 1.5 points. But......
West Iredell came back to win the 160 championship, but only scored a 4 point decision win. Tribes's lead down to + 0.5 point.
The tournament championship was now clinched for the Tribe. West Iredell was out of wrestlers in the championship, but Saint still had 2 more wrestlers.
